As well as its culinary uses Sage has a number of medicinal uses. It has been found that Sage is antihidrotic, meaning that it can be useful in cases of excess perspiration and sweating. It is a carminative, helping to relieve distension of the gastrointestinal system caused by gas, and can be of assistance in cases of flatulent dyspepsia. Due to its astringent and antibacterial properties Sage can be used as a mouth wash for inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.

xcessive sweating and perspiration. May also be used as a gargle (when prepared as directed) for the relief of mouth ulcers and minor throat irritations.

Active Ingredients
Each ‘preservative free’ capsule contains 400mg of Salvia officinalis leaf powder.

Dosage
For adults: take two to three capsules with a meal twice daily. Mouthwash or gargle: open two capsules, add one cup of boiling water.
Allow to stand for 10-20 minutes. Strain, use when warm.
